Carly Wheatcroft, RVT

Carly graduated from St. Clair College as a Registered Veterinary Technician and joined the Fairmont team in 2005. She has been a technician here ever since, with the added role of Practice Manager in 2019. She is a valued long-time employee here at Fairmont Animal Hospital.   She has a great love of bulldogs or anything with a “squishy face”. She has knack for raising orphaned kittens, having raised many bottle babies over the years. Her favorite cases to work with are involving neonatal care or critically ill patients as the reward for nursing them back to health is unmatched in her eyes. She feels strongly that a fear-free approach is needed in all areas of veterinary medicine to ensure a good patient bond, and that advocating for the animals experience is also part of a technician’s role.   She has a chihuahua “Franklin”, an American Bulldog “Nellie” and two cats “Denah” & “June (junior)”. She enjoys spending any extra time she has in the outdoors with her husband and daughter. Her other passions are travelling and interior design. She is a valued long-time employee here at Fairmont Animal Hospital. She states “This clinic takes pride in their work and practices the best standard of medicine and care. We all have a shared passion and goal at the end of every day and we advocate for our patients. Some of us techs have been here so long we have had the privilege of seeing hundreds of your fur- babies grow through each life-stage and that’s such a blessing to be a part of.”
